Jordan, Bangladesh discuss labour cooperation

AMMAN — Labour Minister Nidal Katamine on Monday met with his Bangladeshi counterpart, Kandahar Hussein, to discuss the status of Bangladeshi guest workers in the Kingdom.
Discussions covered the rights of Bangladeshis guaranteed in Jordan under the supervision of the ministry.
The two officials agreed to form a joint committee to tackle issues of mutual concern, such as domestic workers who abandon their employers.
Hussein presented a briefing on his country’s workforce, estimated at 10 million workers in 170 countries, highlighting their ability to adapt and learn other countries’ languages quickly.
