Jordan commends UNRWA services

By Petra - May 26,2014 - Last updated at May 26,2014

AMMAN — Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh on Monday met with UNRWA Commissioner General Pierre Krähenbühl and discussed means to enhance cooperation with the UN agency.

The minister commended the pivotal role of UNRWA in supporting the Palestinian people.

Judeh also expressed Jordan’s opposition of decreasing the level of services offered by UNRWA to Palestinian refugees, warning that such a move will add extra financial burdens on Arab host countries.

Krähenbühl expressed appreciation for Jordan’s support to UNRWA and its quality services to Palestinian refugees.
