AMMAN — The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO), in cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, has dispatched an airplane of humanitarian, medical and in-kind assistance to Iraq’s Kurdistan region, JHCO Secretary General Ayman Mufleh said on Tuesday.
The plane, dispatched upon Royal directives, left the Kingdom for Erbil on Monday with 15 tonnes of aid to be distributed to beneficiaries, is the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported, quoting Mufleh. The assistance is meant to enable Kurdistan to shoulder the increasing burden of hosting tens of thousands of Iraqis fleeing to the region, especially from Mosul, he added.
