Jordan, Estonia discuss cooperation, region

AMMAN — Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Wednesday discussed ways to enhance cooperation and expertise exchange with Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet and an accompanying delegation.
Talks during the meeting, which was attended by Minister of Energy and Minister of Transport Alaa Batayneh and Minister of Tourism Nayef Al Fayez, also tackled Jordanian-Estonian energy cooperation and the Kingdom's projects to generate electricity using shale oil.
For his part, Paet expressed his country's keenness to improve ties with Jordan.
Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh also met with Paet and examined means to boost bilateral relations and the latest developments concerning the situation in Syria and the Middle East peace process.
Board members of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) and Estonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Urmas Paet on Monday examined means to boost economic, commercial and investment cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of energy and tourism.
Minister of Energy and Minister of Transport Alaa Batayneh on Wednesday met with his Iranian counterpart Ali Nikzad and discussed means to enhance cooperation in the transport and energy sectors.
Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Wednesday met with UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT) Executive Director Joan Clos and an accompanying delegation.
