AMMAN — Omani Minister of Education Madiha Bint Ahmed Al Shibaniyah on Thursday expressed her country’s keenness to further develop cooperation in education with the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Friday.

At a meeting in Muscat with Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Education Minister Mohammad Thneibat, Shibaniyah praised the Jordanian teachers working in the sultanate.

The two officials summarised their ministries’ action plans for the development of the sector, highlighting the importance of curricula development and teacher training.

Thneibat highlighted the repercussions of the Syrian crisis on the sector, noting that it has led to class overcrowding, and, consequently, the need to build new schools, according to Petra.
