AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah and Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman Al Saud on Tuesday discussed progress in the establishment of Saudi-Jordanian Coordination Council, a Royal Court statement said.

The council, the minutes of which were signed last week during His Majesty's visit to Riyadh, in the presence of Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, is aimed at developing and deepening strategic relations between the two countries in various fields.

Its mission entails holding political consultations on bilateral, regional and international issues and enhancing existing cooperation between the two countries in all fields in a way that achieves the aspirations of the two countries' leaders and people.

Reports said that Saudi investments worth billions will come to Jordan under the oversight of the council.
