Jordan Trail selected as Middle East’s top tourist enterprise

AMMAN — The Jordan Trail Association (JTA) was selected as the number-one tourist enterprise in the Middle East by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO).
JTA Executive Director Bashir Daoud said the selection came during 109th session of the Executive Council of UNWTO in Bahrain, adding that the selection criteria were based on teamwork, creativity, development and sustainability, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He also said that the JTA has won the World Tourism Award in London, and The King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein Order for Distinction of the Second Degree for its efforts in placing Jordan among the world’s top 21 tourist destinations, Petra reported.
