AMMAN — The Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) and the Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Saturday signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance economic cooperation between private sector institutions of the two countries.

The memo, signed virtually by JCC President Nael Kabariti and his Zambian counterpart Chabuka Kawesha, aims to draw a practical framework to increase trade exchange and promote investments and joint projects, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Under the agreement, the chambers will act as a liaison between business owners on both sides, provide necessary assistance to institutions, companies and business owners, exchange visits by trade delegations and organise participation in international and national exhibitions held in Jordan or Zambia.

Kabariti pointed out that the MoU will enable the two countries to enhance economic and trade relations, stressing the need to exchange data, expertise and knowledge to serve common interests and overcome challenges posed by the repercussions of the pandemic.
