JPA to reinstate membership with Federation of Arab Journalists
By JT - Oct 19,2019 - Last updated at Oct 19,2019
AMMAN — The council of the Jordan Press Association (JPA) on Wednesday cancelled its decision to suspend its membership with the Federation of Arab Journalists.
The JPA council in January 2017 decided to suspend its membership with the federation due to reservations about federation work mechanisms and calls for amending its bylaws, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported, citing a JPA statement issued on Saturday.
The suspension decision was a result of several meetings between JPA and federation officials, which saw calls on the JPA to return to the federation.
