AMMAN — The government is keen on supporting the local industrial sector, which employs around a quarter-million workers, Labour Minister Nidal Katamine said Wednesday.
During a tour of several factories in Al Muqabalein area in Amman, the minister urged Jordanians to support national products, stressing their effect on developing the economy.
Katamine said chambers of industry should provide the government with “realistic studies” identifying sector needs and suggesting the best methods to train local labourers to replace guest workers.
