King congratulates Chinese president on election victory

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday sent a cable to Chinese President Xi Jinping, congratulating him for being reelected as president.

In the cable, the King expressed his pride in the relations between Amman and Beijing, voicing the Kingdom’s keenness to enhance its cooperation and its strategic partnership with China in all fields, to realise joint interests and enhance regional and international peace and security, according to a Royal Court statement.

King Abdullah also wished the president good health and the Chinese people further progress and prosperity.
