King discusses Gaza with Saudi crown prince, Abbas

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday held talks on the Israeli offensive on Gaza and the regional and international efforts to end it.

In a telephone conversation, the King and Saudi Crown Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud agreed on the need for constant cooperation with international and regional powers to bring an end to the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

His Majesty also congratulated the Saudi crown prince over the successful surgery that King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz underwent.

He wished the Saudi king a speedy recovery, and the Saudi people further prosperity under his leadership.

Earlier on Monday, the Monarch sent a cable to King Abdullah congratulating him on the successful surgery.

The Monarch and Prince Salman also discussed bilateral relations and ways to improve them to the benefit of both countries.

The King also held talks over the phone with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas over the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

The King and Abbas reiterated the importance of intensifying global efforts to achieve comprehensive and permanent peace.
