King, German defence minister discuss anti-terror cooperation

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday met with German Minister of Defence Ursula von der Leyen, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

During the meeting, held at Al Husseiniya Palace, the King and Leyen discussed bilateral relations in the military field. 

They reviewed developments in the Middle East, especially regional and international efforts to combat terrorism within a holistic strategy, stressing the importance of coordination between Jordan and Germany in regard to the crises that face the region.

For her part, the minister stressed that Jordan's stability is a main pillar of the region's stability and Europe considers Jordan as a pivotal and primary partner in the Middle East. 

She expressed her country's appreciation for Jordan's efforts in dealing with the region's crises.
