King, in phone call, condoles Japanese PM over typhoon victims

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, in a phone call on Thursday with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, expressed condolences over the victims of Typhoon Hagibis, which hit Japan recently, claiming dozens of victims and injuring many others, according to a Royal Court statement.
King Abdullah expressed sympathies to the bereaved families, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
The phone call also covered bilateral relations, with His Majesty stressing keenness to expand the strategic partnership between Jordan and Japan, as well as the importance of maintaining coordination and consultation on issues of mutual concern, in service of the shared interests of the two peoples.
