AMMAN — The Labour Ministry will deal with applications to recruit domestic workers this week, according to its secretary general, Hamadah Abu Nijmeh.

Citizens and recruitment agencies have complained about the hundreds of applications that have piled up due to a recent strike by ministry employees.

Abu Nijmeh noted that the ministry has assigned additional staff members to process the applications and tasked others to work overtime.
