Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem tours Jordan field hospital in Gaza

AMMAN — Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem Archbishop Pierbattista Pizzaballa on Saturday toured the Jordanian field hospital “Gaza 71”. The patriarch said that the visit to the Jordanian field hospital in the strip is meant to tell the world that Jordan offers considerable humanitarian assistance to Gazans, commending the staffs’ efforts towards supporting the Gazans, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He also expressed appreciation of the Kingdom's ongoing support for the Gaza Strip against tough conditions.
Commander of the field hospital force Brig. Gen. Sadiq Bani Nasr reviewed the field hospital's services since it was first dispatched in 2009, as per Royal directives. The Jordanian field hospital “Gaza 71” opened its doors for patients by the end of this month. The hospital, which offers services for free, is administered by rotating medical, technical and administrative cadres that serve for a period of three months.
