AMMAN — Al Ahliyya Amman University (AAU) and Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) on Monday signed an agreement to establish Cisco Global Academy at the AAU.
Under the agreement, the academy will hold training courses on network engineering and information security. PSUT will provide the academy with the needed technical support.
HRH Princess Sumaya, chairperson of the Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) board of trustees, on Wednesday said around 60 per cent of job seekers in Jordan are under 25 years of age.
A database is scheduled to be launched before the end of this year to help graduates of computer network academies find jobs in different sectors in the country.
Cisco Systems on Thursday said that it will reach out to hospitals, banks, financial institutions and industrial sector companies over the next few weeks to speed up the employment of Cisco Networking Academy graduates.
