AMMAN — The Lower House on Wednesday commenced with discussing draft amendments to the Companies Law for 2022, and approved several articles of the draft law, as referred by the Parliamentary Economic and Investment Committee.
The deputies voted to revert to the original government text for Article 4, paragraph "z", which requires the registrar to announce any company registration on the department's website.
The draft amendments aim to streamline business procedures, reduce costs and effort for companies and shareholders, and improve the Kingdom's business environment competitiveness.
They also seek to encourage the registration of foreign companies and investments, while ensuring the stability of legislation related to venture capital companies, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
