Lower House endorses 2015 natural resources draft law

AMMAN — The Lower House’s energy and mineral resources committee on Sunday endorsed the 2015 natural resources draft law, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Head of the panel MP Haitham Ziadin said that the draft law stipulates confiscating vehicles and equipment used at any unlicensed facility or used in unlicensed mining processes, in addition to referring violators to stakeholders.
He added that the committee spent over three weeks discussing the bill and meeting with all relevant bodies to come up with a modern law that best serves the citizens.
