Lower House endorses e-transactions bill

By Petra - Mar 10,2015 - Last updated at Mar 10,2015

AMMAN — The Lower House on Tuesday endorsed the draft e-transactions law.

MP Mustafa Amawi, head of the chamber’s Legal Committee, said the bill organises the files and records of e-transactions, and has no relation to e-commerce, which is governed by other laws.

In a session earlier on Tuesday, MPs approved the draft Hashemite Commission for Disabled Soldiers law, and a draft law ratifying an agreement for oil exploration, evaluation and production between the Natural Resources Authority and Ammonite Energy International Inc.

The Lower House also formed a committee to investigate energy projects in Jordan.
