AMMAN — The Jordan Investment Commission (JIC) and the Maan Development Company (MDC), the main developer of the Maan Development Zone, on Monday signed an agreement to extend the zone by 18,500 dunums.
JIC President Thabet Al Wir said that the agreement will be a “qualitative leap” towards developing the zone through attracting more investments, stressing that the world is witnessing unprecedented advances in solar energy projects, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
MDC Chairman Shihadeh Abu Hdeib said that the extension will enhance economic and social development in Maan and will put the governorate on the international investment map.
