AMMAN — A man jumped from the Lower House’s gallery on Thursday demanding to meet Prime Minister Omar Razzaz as the Chamber was conducting the vote of confidence in the government.
“The man who jumped from the gallery wanted to meet the premier, wanted to discuss some issues,” Minister of State for Media Affairs Jumana Ghunaimat told The Jordan Times.
“The citizen started calling on the prime minister before MPs finished their voting,” she said.
The Premier rushed to meet the citizens, sat with him and promised to look into his concerns, she said.
“The man told the premier he has some complaints and needs that he wanted fulfilled. The premier promised to look into means to help him,” she said.
Witnesses told The Jordan Times on Thursday that the man demanded a job opportunity.
The sources said the Premier did not wait for the voting to finish and left to an office in the House and met with the citizen.
Razzaz was seen in a video circulated on social media as taking the man outside the man hall where the vote of confidence was conducted.
