AMMAN — The General Union of Mine Workers on Tuesday decided to donate $100,000 to assist Gazans.

The union’s president, Khalid Fanatseh, said the money is the total amount of financial support raised by workers at the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company and the Arab Potash Company by deducting JD10 from the salaries of each worker.

Fanatseh added that this gesture is in line with the Jordanian commitment to help Gazans face the Israeli aggression on the strip, noting the money will be sent to the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation.
