Minister of Interior, UN police official discuss peacekeeping cooperation

AMMAN — Interior Minister Samir Mubaidin on Monday discussed with United Nations Police Commissioner Louis Carlo ways of enhancing cooperation on peacekeeping missions.
Mubaidin highlighted the roles of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army and security agencies in peacekeeping efforts, as Carlo voiced appreciation for Jordan’s contributions to achieving peace in conflict areas, underscoring the professionalism of the JAF and security personnel.
The directors of the Public Security Department, the Gendarmerie Department and the Civil Defence Department also attended the meeting and reviewed with the UN official the various modes of cooperation between the UN and Jordanian agencies on multiple relevant frontiers.
