AMMAN — The Ministry of Water and Irrigation on Monday launched the “snakes and ladders” game application, which aims to raise awareness about water conservation among the general public, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Ministry’s Spokesperson Omar Salameh said that the game is a combination of entertainment and education, explaining that “when players go up, they are given advice about water rationing, and when going down, they are given a warning about water waste”.
The game was launched by the ministry’s media department in partnership with a group of students from Princess Sumaya University for Technology. Salameh said this launch will be followed by a series of similar educational game applications and activities as part of the ministry’s societal initiatives.
