MP Riati membership suspended following December brawl

AMMAN — The Lower House on Sunday suspended the membership of MP Hassan Riati for two years following thebrawl with other MPs during deliberations over constitutional amendments in late December.
A majority of House members voted for the decision to freeze Riati’s membership for two years based on a House's Legal Affairs Committee’s recommendation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The discussion over the decision and the vote were held in a closed-door session.
