AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State Rajai Muasher met on Sunday with deputy chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and his accompanying delegation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

During the meeting, Muasher expressed Jordan’s appreciation for the support China gives it on all levels of political, economic and developmental aid.

Muasher also stressed that economic relations between Jordan and China are good and that there is continuous growth in these areas, but there are other promising fields to enhance, especially infrastructure in the fields of electricity, railways and the Two Seas Canal project. Muasher also said that the area is going to be a new stage for development following the return of stability in Syria and Iraq.

The Chinese deputy noted that the number of Chinese tourists visiting Jordan is increasing, which would contribute in the adjustment of the trade balance, stressing that Jordan is resource rich, but tourism promotion to Jordan in China lags.
