Narcotics seized, wanted person arrested in Northern Badia raids

AMMAN — Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel on Tuesday seized large quantities of narcotics in raids carried out in the Northern Badia, according to the Public Security Department (PSD).
The PSD media spokesperson said in a statement that AND personnel, with support from a special team at the PSD, carried out several raids at the residences of wanted persons and suspects in drug-related cases, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He said that after searching a residence of one of the wanted persons, 174 palm-sized sheets of hashish, 160,000 captagon pills and 70,000 tramadol pills were seized, adding that the search for the owner of the residence is ongoing.
The spokesperson added that a wanted person was arrested in connection with the smuggling of 200,000 narcotic pills after raiding his location, while a drug peddler was arrested in possession of a quantity of narcotic pills and a firearm.
