No infiltration of Jordanian-Israeli border — official

AMMAN — Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Sufian Qudah on Sunday denied the alleged infiltration of the Jordanian-Israeli border, and said that Civil Defence Department (CDD) personnel were carrying out a search and rescue operation, when they mistakenly crossed the border, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
CDD teams “mistakenly crossed the international border, while carrying out their duty in search of a person who was thought to have drowned in the Ghor Al Safi region, due to the downpour yesterday”, Qudah said in an official ministry statement, carried by Petra.
They “immediately” returned to Jordanian territory, he reaffirmed, according to the statement
