No Jordanians injured in recent India blast

AMMAN — The Kingdom’s embassy in New Delhi confirmed on Monday that all Jordanians in India were fine and that none of them was harmed during the blasts that took place last week in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad.
The embassy said it contacted the Indian police who confirmed that no Jordanians were injured during the incident.
Embassy officials also contacted Jordanian residents and checked on them.
At least 20 people were killed and more than 50 wounded when bombs ripped through a crowded suburb of the Indian city of Hyderabad on Thursday in what police called an act of terrorism.
Amman Chamber of Commerce President Issa Murad and India’s Ambassador to Jordan Anil Trigunayat on Monday discussed ways to develop commercial and investment relations between Jordanian and Indian businessmen.
The Jordanian embassy in Beirut on Friday reported that all Jordanians living in Lebanon were safe and accounted for following a blast in Beirut’s southern suburb of Haret Hreik on Thursday, which killed six people and injured 76.
