AMMAN — The Council of Ministers decided to approve the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) regarding occupational health and safety between the Social Security Corporation and Better Work Jordan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The MoU aims to increase cooperation between the two bodies and contribute to spreading awareness about occupational health and safety in order to reduce work-related injuries and support and motivate employers to comply with the law. The Better Jordan programme aims to provide “decent work opportunities” for workers in factories and to improve the competitiveness of industries, by enhancing economic performance at the institutional level, according to Petra.
