OCHA to open office in Jordan

AMMAN — Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh and John Ging, the director of the UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs’ (OCHA) operational division, signed an agreement on Tuesday to establish an OCHA office in the Kingdom.
The agreement aims to coordinate humanitarian work with national and international bodies, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement sent to The Jordan Times.
It also enables the office to coordinate humanitarian assistance in the region in case of wars and natural disasters.
