Operation Smile conducts free medical campaign

AMMAN — Operation Smile Jordan (OSJ) recently conducted a free medical campaign at Prince Hussein Hospital in Ain Al Basha.
During the campaign, OSJ provided medical treatment to children from Jordan, Palestine, Egypt, Syria, Iraq and Pakistan suffering from congenital malformations and burns.
OSJ medical teams performed around 80 surgeries during the campaign.
Local and international medical teams, brought together by Operation Smile Jordan (OSJ), will work side by side next month in a new mission targeting children suffering from cleft lips, cleft palates and burns.
His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday sent a cable to Saudi King Abdullah Ben Abdul Aziz congratulating him on the fourth anniversary of his accession to the throne.
Zeena Bishtawi is a Jordanian graduate in business administration, who works for a bank in the capital. But last week she hung up her office suit and donned a surgical gown, mask, cap and socks for Operation Smile.
