‘Over 1,500 jobs created by PBI Aqaba Industrial estate’

AMMAN — The PBI Aqaba Industrial Estate has achieved a growth in local and foreign investments exceeding $500 million and has created more than 1,500 jobs, 60 per cent of which were for local workforce, Sheldon Fink, chairman and CEO of the estate, said on Sunday.
During a press meeting, Fink said that the estate is a big stimulator for sustainable economic development, stressing that it provides investment opportunities for businesspeople, which helps boost industrial investments and create hundreds of jobs for Jordanian youth, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He noted that the estate has developed 100 dunums as investment infrastructure, and said they expect to finish promoting other zones in the next four years.
