PM to highlight Jordan’s challenges at World Water Week

AMMAN — Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Sunday left the Kingdom on a several-day official visit to Sweden, where he is scheduled to participate in the 2015 World Water Week in Stockholm.
In a speech at the opening session, Ensour will review the water situation in Jordan and the challenges it is facing, especially in light of the Syrian refugee influx. This year’s week is held under the theme “Water for Development”.
On the sidelines of the event, the premier is scheduled to meet with his Swedish counterpart Stefan Löfven and other officials to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral ties and joint cooperation. Water Minister Hazem Nasser will accompany Ensour to the event which has been organised by the Stockholm International Water Institute since 1991.
