By JT - Jan 13,2016 - Last updated at Jan 13,2016

AMMAN — Poland has allocated 500,000 euros for 2016 projects in Jordan to serve host communities and Syrian refugees, according to a statement from the Polish embassy. During a visit to the Foreign Ministry on Monday, Polish Ambassador Krzysztof Bojko informed government officials of the aid allocated by Warsaw for Jordan this year.

Poland has invited bids for a public programme titled “Humanitarian Aid in the Middle East 2016”. The best projects proposed by Polish NGOs will be selected.

“These should be focused on refugees and communities affected by the Syrian refugee crisis, such as in Jordan, and address the healthcare, nourishment, education and social care sectors,” the statement said.
