Police dismiss reports on Jweideh inmate heart attack

AMMAN — The Public Security Department (PSD) on Wednesday dismissed news reports that an inmate at the Jweideh Correctional and Rehabilitation Centre for Women suffered a heart attack and was transferred to hospital for treatment. The PSD said the woman was sent to the forensic medicine to examine bruises on her body, stressing that this was a “routine measure”. The department said the inmate is in good health.

Around 24,574 people visited inmates at correctional and rehabilitation centres during the Eid Al Adha holiday, the media centre at the Public Security Department (PSD) reported on Thursday.
