Police uncover JD2 million theft at Al Samra power company

AMMAN — The Public Security Department (PSD) media centre on Wednesday said police managed to solve a JD2 million theft at Al Samra Power Generating Company in Hashemiyeh District in Zarqa.
The company was suffering financial losses, but was unable to determine the reasons.
Police investigators found that two employees, in cooperation with several drivers who were delivering fuel to the company, were involved in the case.
The police questioned the drivers, who confessed that they were offloading some of the fuel they were supposed to deliver to the company and selling it to other parties.
Eighteen suspects will be referred to court, the police media centre said.
