AMMAN — The political reform programme will primarily rest on changes to the elections, municipalities, political parties and decentralisation laws, Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour said on Wednesday.
At a meeting with members of the coalition of leftist and nationalist parties, Ensour said the government has referred the political parties bill to the Lower House and will refer the municipalities and decentralisation bills to deputies soon for deliberation.
The latter two bills will be posted on the Prime Ministry’s website before being sent to the Lower House so that citizens can review them and suggest changes.
