AMMAN — Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Monday met with former premier Marouf Bakhit.
They discussed ways to motivate the Jordanians to vote in the January 23 elections.
Talks also focused on means to enhance dialogue between the government and notable leaders in the Jordanian political scene.
Ensour also met with chairman and members of the board of the Jordan Hotel Association. The delegation was headed by Senator Michael Nazzal.
Another MP on Thursday submitted his resignation to the Lower House secretariat general in protest against the results of Monday's vote on the impeachment of Prime Minister Marouf Bakhit and his former tourism minister.
His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday sent cables to Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, extending his congratulations on the occasion of Nowruz.
The hospitality sector in Jordan faced a difficult year in 2013 because the number of tourists dropped, according to Jordan Hotel Association (JHA) Chairman Michael Nazzal.
