AMMAN — Prime Minister Omar Razzaz on Tuesday toured the most notable activities and programmes provided by Al Hussein Youth Camps.

The premier visited the creativity and innovation camp, founded by the Ministry of Youth, and viewed activities and skills dozens of young women take part in, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Razzaz also talked with a number of beneficiaries about the camp’s role in developing their skills using interactive training methods to identify social issues and resolve them using creative thinking.

The prime minister attended a training session on filmmaking and inspected young people’s prototypes at the robotics and AI camp.

Razzaz was also told about some of the camps’ successes, which included inventing a robot controlled through mobile devices and developing a lighting system that saves energy by utilising movement sensors.

The premier lauded the participants’ creativity in the fields of environment, robotics and facilities to improve the living standards of disabled individuals.

During the visit, Minister of Youth Mohammed Abu Rumman said that the camps have managed to attract over 20,000 young men and women this year, in addition to establishing new AI camps and a Taekwondo camp for girls.
