AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh on Sunday received a letter from Jordan Press Association (JPA) President Tareq Momani and Ad Dustour employees regarding the  daily’s crisis.

In the letter, the JPA council urged Tarawneh to intervene by urging the government to take practical measures to address the financial problems facing the paper.

During a meeting with Momani, Tarawneh called for holding an urgent meeting with the concerned authorities to come up with possible solutions.

Ad Dustour employees have been facing salary delays over the past two years and have been organising demonstrations to demand their rights.
