Prince Raad checks on airport road facilities for PWD

AMMAN — HRH Prince Raad on Wednesday checked on preparations to equip the airport road to serve persons with disabilities (PWD).
Accompanied by Minster of Public Works and Housing Yahya Kisbi, the prince checked on pedestrian overpasses near residential and commercial areas as well as educational institutions along the road.
Ramps have been constructed at the side of four of these bridges to facilitate access for PWD.
The road expansion project is expected to finish around the middle of this year.
HRH Prince Raad, president of the Higher Council for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities, on Thursday said Jordan is working on providing all facilities to people with disabilities (PWD) to ensure that they can access all places without any hindrances.
The Higher Council for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities (HCD) legal committee convened its first meeting to amend the law on the rights of people with disabilities (PWD).
HRH Prince Raad, head of Jordan Paralympic Committee, on Tuesday met with Mohammed Al Hamli, president of the United Arab Emirates Disabled Sports Federation, and discussed means to develop cooperation in implementing sports activities for people with disabilities (PWD).
