Prince Raad inaugurates charity bazaar

AMMAN — HRH Prince Raad, Chief Chamberlain and president of the Higher Council for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities, on Saturday inaugurated the 33rd annual charity bazaar organised by Al Hussein Society for the Habilitation/Rehabilitation of the Physically Challenged.
Forty-five diplomatic missions and international organisations participated in the bazaar and showcased their countries’ traditional foods, products and handicrafts.
All proceeds from the event will go to support the society’s activities and programmes.
HRH Prince Raad, president of the Higher Council for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities, on Monday attended a graduation ceremony of the 33rd class from Al Hussein Society for the Rehabilitation of the Physically Challenged.
His Majesty King Abdullah on Friday received a telephone call from Quartet representative Tony Blair. Discussions between the King and Blair focused on the latest efforts to resume serious and effective Palestinian-Israeli talks that address final status issues on the basis of a two-state solution.
Exhibiting wisdom beyond their years, a group of nine-year-old children with disabilities on Monday realised their rights to a normal life by calling on society for "assistance rather than pity".
