PSD chief, US ambassador discuss security cooperation

AMMAN — Director of Public Security Directorate (PSD) Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh and US Ambassador to Jordan Henry T. Wooster on Thursday discussed means to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two countries in the police and security fields.

Hawatmeh highlighted the “deep-rooted strategic” ties between Jordan and the US in enhancing security and peace, commending the continuous cooperation in fields related to technical and training aspects, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Wooster praised the level that PSD has reached in various security and police aspects and the directorate’s continuous endeavours for development and modernisation, as well as keeping pace with anti-crime sciences and technologies.
