Ramtha hospital lacks medical equipment

By Petra - Nov 17,2014 - Last updated at Nov 17,2014

RAMTHA — Residents of Ramtha District complained of the insufficient number of beds in the ICU and the shortage of blood units at Ramtha Public Hospital.

They also praised the efforts of the hospital’s cadres to overcome the burden, which has resulted from the rising demand on medical care services due to Syrian refugee influx.

They said that Syrians occupied all of the six beds in the ICU, calling for allocating more beds to absorb the demand.

Hospital Manager Yousef Tahat said the administration is trying to cover these shortages by seeking the help of nearby hospitals.
