AMMAN — The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Jordan on Monday opened a seminar on war-time surgery, according to a statement from the ICRC.

Organised for the third time by the ICRC, the three-day seminar sees the participation of 35 Jordanian doctors and surgeons from the Health Ministry, the Royal Medical Services and humanitarian organisations, and is conducted by two senior surgeons from the ICRC, specialised in war injuries.

Health Minister Mahmoud Sheyyab commended the ICRC for holding the seminar in Jordan and gathering experts, noting that the training will help save the lives of many victims of conflict.
