AMMAN — Refinery Manager at the Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company (JPRC) Hani Shousha said on Sunday that the company follows the “highest standards” of public safety while producing gas used for domestic purposes.

During a media tour of the gas production line at JPRC, Shousha confirmed that the JPRC is the only company responsible for filling cylinders with liquid gas, noting that 450 employees and technicians supervise the process of providing Jordanians with gas cylinders.

He added that the company will receive 25,000 cylinders from Turkey this week, adding that it will be the first shipment out of 100,000 units.

Another shipment of 25,000 cylinders is expected to arrive in Aqaba the following week.
