Relatives of cornea donors honoured

AMMAN — HRH Prince Raad, Chief Chamberlain and president of the Friends of the Eye-Bank and the prevention of blindness association, attended a ceremony on Saturday to honour relatives of cornea donors, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The success rate of cornea transplant surgeries in Jordan stands at 80 per cent, Jordan Eye Bank Director Muawiya Bdour said, noting that the Kingdom is at the forefront of the region’s countries in this field, having established an eye bank in 1979.
