AMMAN — The Lower House on Sunday voted to freeze the membership of MP Hassan Riati for two years following a brawl with other MPs during deliberations over constitutional amendments in late December.
A majority of House members voted for the decision to freeze Riati’s membership based on the House's Legal Affairs Committee’s recommendation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The discussion over the decision and the vote were held in a closed-door session.
